10932026 Combined Cycle CHP Power Plant 12.5 MWe + Absorption Cooling System

This high-efficiency combined cycle CHP and trigeneration power plant delivers reliable electrical power, process steam, and chilled water production in a compact and fuel-efficient configuration. The plant combines a Solar Turbines Mars 100 dual-fuel gas turbine, Siemens SST 060 back-pressure steam turbine, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), and double-effect absorption chiller, making it an ideal solution for industrial cogeneration, district energy, process industries, utilities, and large commercial facilities.

The power plant was originally commissioned in 2007 and has been professionally maintained according to OEM recommendations throughout its operational life. The Solar Mars 100 gas turbine was replaced with a Solar factory-refurbished unit in June 2023 and has accumulated only approximately 16,000 operating hours since installation. Both the gas turbine and the Siemens steam turbine underwent OEM overhaul service in mid-2025, ensuring the equipment remains in good operational condition.

This advanced trigeneration plant produces 10 MWe of primary electrical power from the Solar Mars 100 gas turbine, supplemented by an additional 2.5 MWe from the Siemens SST 060 steam turbine, resulting in a total combined electrical output of 12.5 MWe. In addition, the plant generates chilled water through two LS double-effect absorption chillers utilizing steam turbine exhaust energy for efficient cooling production.

The gas turbine exhaust gases are routed through a Descon water-tube heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) equipped with a supplementary duct burner, capable of producing up to 30 tons/hour of superheated steam at 42 bar and 255°C. Steam generated by the HRSG drives the Siemens back-pressure steam turbine, while low-pressure exhaust steam at 7–9 bar is utilized by the absorption chillers for process cooling and chilled water production.

The plant package also includes a fuel gas booster compression system, nearly new GEA Westfalia diesel fuel purification systems installed in 2023, electrical and mechanical auxiliaries, modern Siemens PLC automation, and an extensive inventory of original spare parts for all major equipment.
