10512025 Steam Boiler Plant 120 MW / 30 bar Saturated Steam
This steam boiler plant is in good condition and designed to produce 54 kg/sec of saturated steam at 30 bar for industrial processes. The boiler features a membrane wall construction and is supported from the bottom. It is equipped with four burners located at the top of the boiler: two fired by natural gas and two by light fuel oil, each with a capacity of 30 MW. The firebox base and lower manifold are protected by refractory tiles. The flue gas side of the boiler operates under positive pressure. The plant includes two 100% capacity combustion air fans; there is no exhaust gas fan. The equipment has been meticulously maintained and upgraded throughout its operational life, meeting the most stringent modern quality standards.
The steam boiler operates on natural water circulation, with heating surfaces arranged across two draughts: the convection surfaces (evaporator) are positioned in the second draught, while the feedwater preheater (economiser) is located in a separate draught. The burners use non-preheated air from the boiler room and are fitted with air registers to control vertical combustion. Each register comprises primary and secondary sections. The burners are specifically designed to minimise nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. The temperature of the feedwater in the boiler feedwater tank is approximately 137 °C, which is the temperature at which feedwater enters the economiser.
The boiler plant includes a feedwater system, steam drum, light diesel fuel oil system, water desalination plant, steam and condensate systems, and a modern plant control system. Exhaust gases pass through a multicyclone for particulate removal. The delivery also includes service platforms, steel structures, and insulated wall and roof panels for the boiler house.
The steam plant’s operation and control system were completely rebuilt in 2016 and are currently based on the Siemens T-3000 system with Siemens Simatic S7 series PLCs.
